This is where I document a year’s effort around my improving my photography, leading to my first paid assignment and becoming a ‘pro’

Improving images. Learning Lessons. Building Relationships. Probably some disappointment, too!

I’m documenting most things. Gear choices, editing workflows, business decisions, photo critiques, other wisdom I pick up along the way.

All text and images are mine. Eventually I may add a comment section, but I’m not pretending to be that important haha.

I just want to document the steps I’m taking, and my rationale behind my choices – I’m bound to mess up, and I’ll share that too.

Sticking to what’s real and verifiable will help me stay accountable to myself. This is not a recipe website with family stories – just the recipes.

I have a lot of old magazines and books from childhood that are surprisingly insightful, so I’ll plan to draw from them as I progress.
